Nationwide Research of Connectivity in India

D3 is excited to announce that we recently designed and successfully executed a sample plan that far exceeds standard coverage for public opinion research in India.  With the aid of our local vendor, D3 ventured out of the major cities and into remote areas to conduct a national survey with 6,000 respondents, aged 18+, distributed across 1,200 urban (33.2%) and rural (66.8%) sampling points.  With only five interviews per sampling point, this is major step forward for survey research in India. Check out our geographic spread below:

Fieldwork took place during the last quarter of 2016, and surveys were conducted entirely on tablets using D3’s internally developed Research Control Solutions (RCS) software, which was built especially for low-connectivity and off-the-grid locations.  The survey included questions about mobile phone usage, internet connectivity, and mobile online shopping habits.  Given the Indian government’s demonetization policy, which went into effect during field on November 8, 2016, the findings of this survey are timely and relevant.  Click the one-pager below for more details.
