D3 recently completed a nationwide survey of 2,000 Angolan adults aged 15 and older for USAGM using electronic data capture on D3’s Research Control Solutions (RCS) software. The methodology utilized a multi-stage probability-based sampling protocol, and all respondents were randomly selected using a random number generator via RCS.
We organized the survey to collect information about the size of the audience for Voice of America (VOA) and other international and domestic television, radio, and digital news agencies. The survey also captured the demographic characteristics and geographical distribution of these audiences and their general patterns of media use. The study was an overall success, and several critical insights were gleaned from the data collected.
