D3 would like to extend a warm welcome to its newest member, Melissa Alberto, who joins us as an Assistant Research Analyst. She graduated from George Mason University with a B.A. in Government and International Politics. During her undergraduate career, she served as a Research Assistant, analyzing the current trends in immigrants from El Salvador and Guatemala, as well as studying the rise of right-wing voting in the 2016 Spanish General Elections. Melissa also obtained funding for an independent research project that focused on public school funding in the United States, where she created and analyzed a dataset to formulate comprehensive policy proposals for a policy brief.
